Hundreds of flood victims in affected villages complain of inadequate assistance. The International Committee of the Red Cross in Rangoon confirms that no assistance has been given to the flood victims, though the Myanmar Red Cross says that it has provided some emergency temporary housing.
Several major roads to tourist destinations in Shan State and Mandalay Division have been destroyed by the torrents and subsequent landslides.
